Join us this week as we talk to the owner of Merrimack Valley Family Chiropractic, Ryan Hewitt, DC. Ryan played various sports while growing up until he eventually settled on hockey and volleyball. His interest in sports led directly to bodybuilding. To supplement his routine he tried a wide range of supplements. In his early 20’s he ended up with a blood clot that changed his life forever. Ryan found chiropractic and Crossfit, leading to a drastic lifestyle change.

After dabbling is running, she found CrossFit which changed the direction of her fitness plans. She began to find her interest in health and diet, changing her career focus from teaching high schoolers to teaching the everyday person how to change their lifestyle to increase their health. When she’s not helping people imrpove their day to day life, she is training hard to compete in CrossFit.

This week we interview Jeff Copelas, a long time sports enthusiast and current CrossFitter. Playing lacrosse and football through high school, Jeff was a competitive athlete without a competitive edge. Jeff went on to play lacrosse in college for a brief stint and continued to work out past college. Once he started to work full time, life got in the way and he started to lean more towards what was convenient. After finding CrossFit however Jeff became motivated to feel better and stay healthy.

This week we have Fawn Sack as our guest. From an early age until her senior year in high school, Fawn was a competitive skier. We discuss the different training regiments, summer workouts, the junior Olympics, and even how skiing has now changed for her. As skiing was phased out soccer then came into the picture. After that running and Crossfit have kept her in shape. We also take a look at the pros and cons of exercising for fun vs. competition.

Join us this week with our guest Brian Crosbie. Brian played lacrosse, soccer, and wrestled growing up. After high school he went on to join the Marines where he was forced to step up his fitness. After being in peak physical shape while in the core, he began a lull in his exercise. Thankfully, one of his good friends introduced him to CrossFit, which was a perfect fit. He now co-owns CrossFit Wicked.

Joining us this week is one of Alicia’s ex-gymnasts, Krista Sideri. Her journey through exercise includes competitive gymnastics, state records in pole vaulting, personal training, and CrossFit. Krista shares her experiences and motivation for continuing her athletic life after collegiate sports. She became bored with the typical running and body weight exercises that many of her fellow gymnasts went through. Thankfully she found CrossFit which opened up a whole new competive sport.
